Coaches Steve Lincoln and Kevin Bach led the Hotspurs GU12 White to a 1-0 victory over the Bonita Matrix in the finals of the Nike Crusaders Cup. The win marked the second tournament championship in the last four weeks for the Hotspurs, who also bagged first place in the Charity Cup.

The Hotspurs girls entered the Crusaders Cup with thinned ranks thanks to summer vacation and a rash of injuries. Luckily, the team was able to pull a couple players from the GU11 Red team (Delaney and Cheyenne) to provide valuable depth.

The Hotspurs won all of their bracket games en route to the finals, including a 1-0 thriller against Coach Matt Denick's Hotspurs GU12 Red.

The GU12 White team was firing on all cylinders throughout the tournament. Lauren provided leadership from the back and Kristen served up the needed spark on the finishing end. GK Jessica was clutch, as well, especially during her shutout performance in the finals.
