The Hotspurs girls held serve at their club's tournament.

The Hotspurs USA G9 Red ended the hot summer campaign with a win in the Hotspurs Labor Day Tournament. Coaches Efrain Alba and Walter Torres cannot be more proud of the way the girls came together during the summer and showed they are ready for league play.
After blowing away all opponents by a large margin in the Crown City Classic before losing in the final, 1-0, the girls found tougher opposition in the Hotspurs tournament and built on their previous experience to come out as champions.
The Hotspurs G9 team beat Quest and CSC in bracket play and fought off a solid Vista team in the semifinal, 3-0.
In the final, the girls were going to play a tough Quest team that will play in the top Presidio League bracket, but the girls were focused and played with great intensity from the kickoff to the final whistle. Solid goalkeeping from Grace; great defense by Sadie, Delaney and Jesse; quantity and quality provided by midfielders Karissa, Alysia, Sidney and Kiara; plus the speed and the finishing of forwards Laura and Stephanie provided a perfect combo leading to the 2-0 win. Laura scored both goals in the final game, one in each half.
