With more than 15 years of professional playing and coaching experience in Australia, USA, Canada and Europe, Zoltan Erdosi, coach for Zee Soccer Academy in Brisbane, Australia, returns for his second USA tour.
In November 2008, Erdosi brought his Academy team of BU11 to San Diego to participate in the Fall Harvest Cup hosted by Roy Lopez, a Chula Vista Rangers coach. Playing for Erdosi was striker Dante Longo from Coach Eddie FonBon’s Rangers BU11. In that tournament, Longo scored eight of the Aussies’ 12 goals.
This year's tour by Zoltan's academy boys will take place in Irvine at the USA Nike Cup, one of the biggest junior competitions in the United States. Longo will again play as a striker. Joining him will be midfielder Christian Enriques, another FonBon protégé. Their competition this time around will be PCSC and the Fullerton Rangers.
Coach Eduardo FonBon has a gift for developing players to their highest levels. His Premier BU15 team has just finished Presidio League undefeated and he concludes the season by sending several players to academy programs and one to the Soccer Residency Program in Bradenton, Fla.
