Congratulations to these SD United teams that finished in the No. 2 and No. 3 spots in their divisions.
Second Place
BU12 White
Coach Daniel Nunn’s BU12 White beat Matrix-La Mesa, 3-1, to improve to 9-2-3 and finish in second in the AA-B South, just four points behind No. 1 Atlante S.D.
GU15 Black
After two losses early in the season, the GU15 stepped up their game to record eight wins and three ties, including eight shutouts. Elio Bello’s squad came close to taking the top spot in the AAA bracket, but ended up in second, just one point behind No. 1 FC San Diego.
BU16 White
After a 1-0 win over Hurricanes, Coach Rene Ortiz’s BU16 improved to 8-5-1 in the AAA division. But Nado Select swooped in and stole the title by just two points.
BU19 Black
Two consecutive wins to finish the season tied SD United with National City Bandits at 25 points, but National City’s 2-1 win over United on Halloween gave them the AAA South Title. Coaches Jason Heth and Elio Bello finish at 8-1-1.
